Move your notes to TaskNote
Export from the app you are leaving, pick the file in TaskNote, done. Titles, text, lists and links come across; the notes land in a folder named after the source, so nothing mixes with what you already have. Encryption is applied on the way in, like any note you write.
Where the import lives
Open the web app, press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) and choose "Import from Evernote, Keep, Notion, Simplenote or Markdown". The same button is in Settings and at the bottom of the notebooks list.
How to export from each app
Evernote
In the desktop app, right-click a notebook and choose Export Notebook, format ENEX. One .enex file per notebook. In TaskNote pick Evernote and choose the file.
Google Keep
Go to takeout.google.com, deselect all, tick Keep, and create the export. You get a zip; pick Google Keep in TaskNote and choose the zip as it is.
Notion
In Notion, open Settings, Workspace, Export, format Markdown and CSV. Download the zip and choose it in TaskNote under Notion. Pages become notes, sub-pages too.
Simplenote
In Simplenote, Settings, Export notes. You get a .json file; pick Simplenote in TaskNote and choose it.
Markdown or text files
Obsidian, Logseq, Bear, iA Writer, or a folder of .md and .txt files from anywhere: pick Markdown and choose the files, or a zip of the folder.
Good to know
- The free plan's limit of 50 notes applies to imported notes too. If the export is bigger, Pro removes the limit, and the import picks up where it stopped.
- Images inside notes are not carried over yet; the text keeps a link to where the image was.
- The Windows app imports Markdown folders and TaskNote backups from its command palette (Ctrl+Shift+K). Evernote and Keep exports go through the web app.
