Questions about privacy
Are there adverts?
None. No adverts, no sponsored content, no advertising code in the app. The free plan is funded by the people who choose to pay, not by selling your attention.
Do you track what I write?
We cannot. Notes are encrypted on your device, so there is nothing for us to read or to track. Ordinary usage figures, such as a page being loaded, carry no note content.
Is my data sold to anyone?
No. Nothing is sold, shared or monetised. Your notes are encrypted and out of our reach, and your email is used to sign you in, nothing more.
Is it free?
The core is: notes, the board, reminders and encryption, with no card details asked for. The paid plan adds more history and more room for attachments.
How do I know the notes really are private?
Because of where the key lives. It is generated on your device and never sent to us, so even if our servers were breached, what leaked would be ciphertext nobody can open.
Can I use it without giving an email?
An email is needed for an account that syncs, and Google works too. No phone number, no real name, nothing beyond that. The Windows app goes further and needs no account at all.
